Mindset and Proteome Sciences, a leading proteomics company, have formed a partnership, PRO-TAMAD, to discover new therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers for Alzheimer’s disease. This Britech funded project, combines Proteome Sciences’ exquisitely sensitive technology for protein detection and quantification with Mindset’s proprietary Alzheimer’s disease technologies.
Mindset and Sirius Analytical Instruments are developing and commercializing an advanced computer-based technology to predict blood-brain-barrier penetration of medicinal compounds. This innovative tool is capable of screening up to 1 million compounds a week.
The Blood Brain Barrier Consortium is a collaboration between King’s College, AstraZeneca, Aventis, Eli Lilly, GlaxoSmithKline and Mindset. This collaboration is in the process of revolutionizing the drug discovery process through the development of a unique proprietary computational tool that accurately predicts bioavailability and distribution of drug compounds in the brain.
